I have longish straight hair and no matter how tight I try to make my ponytail, with all the bouncing I do during workouts, they bounce loose and fall down due to the weight of the ponytail bouncing around?
I've tried: low ponytail and twist/clip the ponytail up, doing the "loop" and not pulling the hair all the way through, etc. Always falling down. And braiding just causes an insane amount of knotting that is a pain to comb through.
So now I usually go out/workout with a low ponytail, which usually holds, but it does sometimes gets in the way of my back.
So, how can I make a tight ponytail that'll stay during workouts?
Another problem - Everytime I make another loop in my elastic band to tighten the ponytail, in order to pull my hair through, I have to use my thumb and index finger through the loop to pull the hair through, which in turn loosen the elastic when I finally pull the hair through. I see girls in tight ponytails and I always wonder how they pulled their hair through since I don't know if I would be able to fit my fingers into the loop to pull the hair through, does that make sense?
I might end up getting a haircut, who knows.
