Color Oops Hair Color Remover review + lingering hair smell

About 2 days ago, I used this:

Color Oops Hair Color Remover, Extra Conditioning.

I don't have pictures! Sorry, but I didn't think of reviewing this until after I was done.

Review:

It worked fairly well, better than I expected, and it was easy to use: just mix and apply (then wash... repeatedly).

My hair was a brownish-dark auburn with black lowlights. After using this product, my hair took me ALMOST back to my lightest shade. My lightest shade was red / light auburn with some blonde highlights, but the color remover turned my hair into a chestnut / light brown with some weirdly natural looking highlights.

I did have to process my hair twice to achieve that shade; but since the product is pretty gentle, there wasn't any significant, horrifying damage done.

I have a few complaints:

1. There doesn't seem to be any conditioner included. So much for "Extra Conditioning."

2. THE SMELL MAKES ME WANT TO DIE. For me, the smell lingered and STILL lingers despite desperate attempts to remove it with deep conditioners and the like. It is EXTREMELY strong, and my friends have compared it with burning hair, a Caucasian guy's deadly silent fart, and a salon. I, personally, go with "deadly silent fart." I tell my boyfriend to smoke around me constantly so I don't have to smell my hair.

All in all, I'd give it a 3.8 / 5

It works, but the smell is just too horrible and persistent. I was considering just giving it a "3" because of the smell.

Which leads me to my next problem:

How do I remove a very pungent, lingering color-remover "fart" smell from my hair?

I haven't tried much, just repeated shampooing and deep conditioning. The smell is the only thing that would keep me from using this product again. PLEASE HELP ME!
